WILLIAM ROGER WELLS

October 25, 1946 – October 30, 2017.

WELLS – WILLIAM ROGER of Gibbons, Christ Church.

Father of Gina Moreno and Gail Frazier. Grandfather of Brandon and Priscilla Frazier, Aidan and Rachel Moreno. Brother of Sonia Ostler, and the late Steve Wells, Robin Wells and Timothy Wells. Uncle of Steve, Kristy and Nicholas Harrison, William and Simon Wells.

Those of us who knew Roger would know that he was stubborn, refused to follow doctors’ orders and raised hell for more than seven decades. He always did it his way.  In his hey day, he enjoyed a drink, shooting, hunting and swamp life.  He always had a joke for you and was a great storyteller. In his latter years, his mother’s and sister’s prayers were answered when he came to know the Lord.  On the morning of October 30th, Rog left this world with all ten fingers and ten toes which was one of his famous convictions, and a huge accomplishment for a lifetime diabetic.

Not a fan of funerals, Roger always promised that he wasn’t going to anyone’s funeral who wasn’t coming to his.  Continuing in the vein of being unconventional and going against the grain, there will be no funeral or memorial service at this time.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff on Ward C5 at the QEH.
