VERA LAWSON WEEKES

WEEKES – On May 8th 2018. VERA LAWSON of Almair Home, 4th Ave. Belleville, St. Michael. Sister of Peggy Creasor (Roger), Mary Weekes, Jackie Fernandes (Raymond) and the late Audrey Parkinson, Norma Fournier, Keith Weekes and June Brooker. A service of thanksgiving for the life of Vera Weekes takes place on Thursday, 17th May, 2018 at 2.00p.m. in the Michael Bryan Memorial Chapel Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael. A private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Winifred’s School will be greatly appreciated.

 

AUBREY J. HARRIS

HARRISAUBREY J. Architect, sadly left us on 30th April, 2018. He leaves his partner Norma, children Cindy and Greg, granddaughter Ocean, brother Jim (June) and his mother Helen. A celebration of Aubrey’s life will be held at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens The Ridge, Christ Church on Tuesday, 15th May, 2018 at 11.30a.m. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barbados Vagrants & Homeless Society.

 

WESLEY NICHOLSON CLARKE “CLARKY”

CLARKEWESLEY NICHOLSON 68years, better known as “CLARKY” 68 years, of Mayers Road, My Lord’s Hill, St. Michael. Owner of Paradise Taxi Service entered peacefully into rest on April 29TH 2018.  Son of the late Alma Cleo Clarke and Leonard Clarke.  Father of Andrew and Andrea Springer. Brother of Edwin, Henderson, David, Leonard and Ralph Clarke, Cleopatra Archer and the late Norma Maitland, Errol Clarke and Yvonne King.  Grandfather of Amanda Parris. Uncle of Rhonda, Petra, Jason, Wendy, Marcia and many others.. Friend of Joyce Harris, Shirley Gibbs, Angela Clarke, and Brenda.  Relative of the Coombs, Payne and Lascelles families. The funeral leaves BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME Belmont Road, St. Michael on Friday, 11th May, 2018 for St. Barnabas Church, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3.30p.m for a service of thanksgiving and interment. Organist and members of the church choir are kindly asked to attend. Flowers may be sent to BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME Belmont Road, St. Michael no later than 1.00p.m. on Friday.

 

GEOFFREY PILGRIM

PILGRIM – Geoffrey Frere Pilgrim passed away peacefully on Sunday, 29th April, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born at Welches Plantation, Barbados on 3rd June 1932 to Frank and Alice Pilgrim and lived with siblings Vernon and Gwen until he married and moved to start his new life in Trinidad. He spent 40 happy years amongst cousins and made many very close life friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Anne Pilgrim

Left to honour and remember his love are his 5 daughters, Rachel Pilgrim, Pennie Maclean, Kate Coombs, Angela Patterson and Peta Kyle and 9 grandchildren : Elle, Emma, James, Darcey, Zoe, Adam, Jacqueline, Duncan and Amelia.

Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Geoffrey may attend his Funeral Service to be held at 2pm on Thursday, 10th May, 2018 at St. David’s Church, Christ Church.

In lieu of Flowers, donations to The Barbados Hospice, (Please make cheques payable to Association for Cancer Advocacy)

 

A private cremation will follow.

DAVID WILLIAM PEMBERTON

PEMBERTON – On 22nd April 2018. DAVID WILLIAM of Chancery Lodge, Retirement Home, Canevale, Christ Church. Son of the late Frank and Elaine Pemberton. Brother of John (UK), Jan and Rosemary (Canada). Uncle of Ingrid (UK) and Christine (Canada).The funeral leaves BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME Belmont Road, St. Michael on Tuesday, 8th May, 2018 for St. Philip’s Parish Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10.00a.m. for a service of thanksgiving and interment. Organist and members of the church choir are asked to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Philip’s Parish Church for The Frank Pemberton Scholarship Fund will be greatly appreciated. Mourning colours and jackets are optional.
