JOYCE ELEANOR DEFREITAS

DeFreitas – On 16th December, 2020. JOYCE ELEANOR of #34 Maxwell Park, Christ Church. Wife of Carlton. Mother of Julie (Guillermo) and David. Grandmother of Daniel. Beloved sister of Vere, Sir Emile and Trevor Straker. Aunt of Michelle Bohne, Elizabeth Field, Dean Straker and many others. The funeral leaves BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME, Belmont Road, St. Michael, on Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020 for St. Dominic’s Church, Maxwell Main Road, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00am for a service of thanksgiving. A private cremation will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Barbados Association of Palliative Care will be greatly appreciated. No mourning colours by special request. Government health protocols of social distancing and the wearing of masks will be in effect. ANDREW DAVID HARVEY-READ

Andrew David Harvey-Read

May 10, 1955 – December 8, 2020

 Our Family and Community sadly lost a pillar on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, when Andrew David Harvey-Read passed away from natural causes.  His touch on everyone’s path he crossed was immeasurable and has been echoed in his passing by the extreme outpouring of support from family, friends and acquaintances throughout the world.  Andrew is survived by a community of people who will miss him dearly including his loving wife of 45 years, Gina Harvey-Read, his two children Jason Andrew Harvey-Read and Megan Leigh Mayers (née Harvey-Read), his daughter and son in law Melina Harvey-Read and Barry Mayers, and his four grandchildren Lucas Cesar Harvey-Read, Jacob Russel Mayers, Louis Andrew Harvey-Read and Ava Leigh Mayers.  He was preceded in death by his father David “Mosie” Harvey-Read, but survived by his mother Wendy Harvey-Read and siblings Anthony (Bru) Harvey-Read (Debbie), Theresa foster (Dereck foster) and Christopher Harvey-Read (Cherane).  His legacy will live on not only via his children and grandchildren, but in the endless recounting of the stories and interactions which show the person he truly was. We love and miss you dearly Ands/Andy/Gramps/Grandpa/Dad/Love. A memorial service for the life of ANDREW DAVID HARVEY-READ takes place at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church on Friday, 18th December, 2020 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association of Barbados will be greatly appreciated. No mourning colours by special request. BAKSH – On 16th November 2020. JARED NATHANIEL of #42 Layne’s Road, Martindale’s Road, St. Michael. Former student of the Alleyne Secondary School. Assistant Teacher of  TK’s Institute of Music. Son of Lionel & Nirmala Baksh. Brother of Javed Baksh of Combermere School & Paul, Bradley & Nathan Holder of the U.S.A. Grandson of Eva Bhagwandin & Naseem Banoe of Guyana, & Mohamed Baksh of the U.S.A. Nephew of Leon Baksh of the U.S.A & Ansuya Allie. Great nephew of Pearlie & Patrick Adams & Alexandria Atwell, and others. Cousin of many in Barbados and overseas. Friend of Students of TK’s Institute of Music. Member of The Upper Room Ministries and friends. Adopted son of the Kirton Family of SandFord, St. Phillip. The funeral leaves BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME, Belmont Road, St. Michael on Thursday, 10th December, 2020 for the Church of the Nazarene, Halls Road, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30pm for a service of thanksgiving. The cortege will then proceed to the Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church, for the interment. Visitation of the late JARED NATHANIEL BAKSH will take place in the Michael Bryan Memorial Chapel, Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael, on Wednesday, 9th December, 2020 from 4-6pm. Flowers may be sent to BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME, Belmont Road, St. Michael, not later than 11:30am on Thursday.
