Our sincere sympathies to the Reid family and relatives.
I remember going into Reid feed business in Fairchild Street as a teenager to purchase items under my parents direction. Those were the days we can look back on with fond memories of one who made a difference in our lives growing up.
William and I love and miss Uncle Victor and are thankful for him and Auntie Maureen for always being there for us, Dorothy and Arthur. A very kind and generous man to everyone 🙏💗 May he rest in eternal peace 🙏💗
Our family first met Victor and Maureen when we came to Barbados for the first time in 1973. While attending the Kingdom Hall Victor and Maureen invited my parents Leo and Shirley Woodcock to their home for a beautiful dinner. The rest is history. My parents returned to Barbados every year after that up until their age and health prohibited them from coming. Many, many times they enjoyed the hospitality of the Reid family. There are too many wonderful stories to tell but needless to say their friendship and their love for each other grew stronger every year. The Reids also visited my parents in Canada on a number of occasions. The next generation of our family have also been close friends with the Reids. We recently saw Victor and Maureen when my family was in Barbados in 23/24. When learning of Victor’s death my adult daughter commented “I always remember him as being a very kind man”. We echo those comments. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Reid family. We send our love. Heather and David Marceau and Family (BC Canada)
