HINKSON – On April 8th 2016. DOROTHY GERTRUDE BCH (Barbados Centennial Honour) formerly of Blades Hill, St. Philip and late of #3 High Park, St. James. Widow of Cecil Hinkson. Mother of Esther Maynard, Margaret Ann Hinkson and Donna Decle and the late George Hinkson “Maggie Pan”. Mother-in-law of Desmond Maynard and Jeanette Hinkson. Grandmother of George Hinkson Jr., Tessa O’Neal, Michelle and Allan Maynard, Jeremy and Justin Decle. Great grandmother of 5. Sister of Clarence, Sydney and Ralph Shepherd. Great friend of Monica Lampitt and many more. The funeral leaves BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME Belmont Road St. Michael on Tuesday 19th April 2016 for St. Mark’s Church College Savannah, St. John where relatives and friend are asked to meet at 3.30p.m. for a service of thanksgiving and interment. Organist and members of the church choir are kindly asked to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark’s Church will be greatly appreciated and collected at the service. Visitation of the late DOROTHY GERTRUDE HINKSON will take place in the Michael Bryan Memorial Chapel Bryan’s Funeral Home Belmont Road, St. Michael on Monday 18th April 2016 from 4 to 6pm.

  1. Dear Hinkson Family,

    What a miss Barbados will have in Dorothy’s passing!
    Your mom was extraordinary!
    But more importantly, did an exceptional service here for the Lord!

    That will be her legacy, not only for her immediate family but all those who had the privilege of meeting her.

    I met Dorothy in her later years working along side her for the St. James Church Flower Festival. I, being half her age, found it hard to keep up with her decorating skills. She had the energy of a 30 year old!

    Remarkable as it seems, she worked tirelessly for the pleasure of our Lord and now is her time to rest in peace and rise in Glory.

    Be proud of your mom. She has left fond memories for all of us!!!
