  2. Condolences to the family and friends of Jane Purdy.
For hundreds of youngsters who attended St. Angela’s School, their first school year would have been spent in the care of Miss Purdy and Mrs. French, good-cop/bad-cop duo for infants at its most sublime. Miss Purdy was truly a sweet and gentle soul, and the children loved her. They would not forget her, and indeed it seems that she did not forget her children either. I was fortunate to encounter her, always in the company of Ann, on several occasions over the years, not only did she remember my boys, and their names, but she was sincerely interested in their progress and excited by their success. My boys were truly privileged to have spent time in her care. Rest in Peace, Miss Purdy.

  4. I remember Jane as a quiet, lovely teacher of so many many young children. She was patient and kind to each one. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. She will be remembered in the hearts of all those kids who were in class with her and Anne.
