MAYHEW – On 24th March, 2020. GEOFFREY HAYNES of #37 Garden Road #1, Worthing, Christ Church. Husband of June. Father of Shelley-Ann, Kathy-Joy Fragen (Andy) (USA) and Jennifer Deane (Richard). Grandfather of Adam, Ashleigh, Jonathan, and Sophie. Brother of Mary Walcott and the late Lucille Stoute, Laurita Mahon, Edwin, Arthur, Gerald and Harold Mayhew. Relative and friend of many. A private interment will take place. In light of the current world events, a memorial service will be held at a later date.


BUTLER – On 19th March, 2020. DEAN ALAN of Porters, St. James. Son of Jan and Alan Butler (UK). Beloved husband of Tania. Loving father of Tate and Finn. Brother of Nina (UK). Uncle of Halle and Robbie (UK). Son-in-law of Uwe and Heather Harrs. Brother-in-law of Shawn Harrs (Loren) (USA). Loved and respected by all his family, friends, colleagues and football team. A private cremation will take place at a later date.



WILKINSON – JOHN GREY of Lancaster Heights, St. James, passed away on 21st March, 2020.  Retired Director of Barbados Shipping & Trading Limited.  Husband of Heather Wilkinson, and former husband of the late Rosalind Wilkinson.  Father of Robin Wilkinson (Canada), Anne-Marie Bourne, and Betty (Andrew) Cathrow.  Grandfather of Mark & Gregg Wilkinson, Ashley & Lance Bourne, Hope & Jack Cathrow.  Brother of Helen Howell (England) and Rosemary (David) Neilands. A private cremation will take place. In light of current world events,  a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  Acts of kindness or financial support given to those in need during this difficult time for Barbados would be sincerely appreciated in remembrance of him.

HUTCHINSON – On 21st March, 2020. HAZEL EILEEN of Bushy Park, Rockley Resort, Christ Church. Wife of Geoffrey St. Clair Hutchinson. Mother of Gregory Hutchinson (Nicola), Donna Hutchinson and Judy Cox (Peter). Grandmother of Danielle, Gary, Alison, Rachael, Sean, Adam, David, Jessica and Alex. Great Grandmother of 7. Sister of Ian and Richard Edwards and the late Harry, David and Noel Edwards. A private cremation will take place at a later date.


SAMPSON – On 12th March, 2020.  MYRA ANITA of “Valley View” Frere Pilgrim, Christ Church. Wife of Ralph Sampson. Mother of Joy Cuke (William deceased), Kenneth Seale (Diana) (Canada), Kay Pistone (Michael deceased) (USA), Michael Seale, Ian Sampson (Sandra), Debbie Sampson (USA) and the late Philip Seale (Christine). Grandmother of 13. Great grand mother 17. Sister of Gordon Taylor, Elsie Sisnett and the late Joyce Mclean and Betty Rock. A service of thanksgiving for the life of MYRA ANITA SAMPSON took place at 10:00a.m on Tuesday, 17th March, 2020 in the Michael Bryan Memorial Chapel, Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael. A private cremation will follow.


Frederick Noel McConnie

also known as “Mac”

 aged 81, of Hothersal Turning, St. Michael,

quietly fell asleep in death at his home on March 8, 2020,

and now awaits the resurrection.

Son of the late Thomas Lloyd McConnie

and the late Eveline McConnie.

Widower of the late Jan McConnie.

Father of Gregory (Simone), Linda and Ann-Marie McConnie.

Grandfather of Emily and Paul McConnie.

Brother of June Leach, Alison Kirton, Vera Cole, Agnes Niccolls,

Keith and Larry McConnie, the late Sarah Grant, Clarice Webster,

Lloyd McConnie, Audrey Corbin and Marcia Fenty.

 He believed in God’s command that it is better to give than to receive;

and he sincerely lived this way.

 A funeral service was held on March 12, 2020

with the interment following at Westbury Cemetery
