HINDS – On April 1st 2016 HAMEL RUDOLPH aged 87, of ‘VIDI’ Stanmore Terrace, Black Rock St. Michael. Son of the late Joseph Nathaniel Griffith and Violet Germaine Hinds, Husband of Vere Hinds, Father of Judith Gittens, grandfather of Makayla Gittens, Father-in-Law of Mark Gittens, Brother of Donald-Basil Hinds and Eletha, Leonard ‘Leo’ Hinds retired Prison Officer of Her Majesty’s Prison, Leslie ‘Massa’ Hinds of (Manchester, UK), Sheila Hinds of (London, UK) and Shirley Hinds-Oaks of Connecticut, USA, Uncle and great uncle of many, relative of Hinds, Griffith, Guiler, Bridgeman and Waithe families, friend of many others.  A service of thanksgiving and interment for the life of Hamel Rudolph Hinds takes place on Monday 11th April, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Bridgetown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made during the service to the Thelma Vaughan Memorial Home. Organist and members of the church choir are kindly asked to attend. Visitation of the late HAMEL RUDOLPH HINDS takes place in the Michael Bryan Memorial Chapel Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael on Sunday 10th April, 2016 between 4 and 6 p.m.

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of dear Rudolph …will fondly remember the times we shared the stage …his singing voice was a pleasure to hear…he provided many moments of laughter to all that knew him….to his family and many friends I extend my sincerest condolences .   5. Over time I always wondered what had become of you. Even recently you crossed my mind.I thank you for the many times you made me and many Barbadians laugh as you played the part of Sam in the popular duo of Sam and Mobert ( Patrick) in the popular radio series of Yesteryear – Partners in Profit- especially the one with the “Mahogany Birds” (Bajan Cockroaches). To family and friend I express my sincerest condolences.

With with heavy heart of the sudden passing of my dear Uncle Rudolph, I didn’t expected it so soon i will miss you and cherish the memories from my teenagers years growing up around you,spending time at the beach house along with my siblings, stay strong Aunty Vere,Judith and the rest of family.
