Most sincere condolences from that little French girl (64 years old now… ) from Guadeloupe, who still keeps wonderful memories of the Lynch family. Mr Lynch was indeed a good man. So sad to learn that sweet little Susie left us too ! Very special thoughts for Mandy, whom I’ll always remember as one of the kindest persons I have ever met.
I have already lit a candle on the Nation Death Notice and now confirm the sincerest expression of condolences to Sir Douglas’ family, especially Lady Amanda. Sir Douglas would always occupy a significant place in my memory. He took a chance on articling me in 1956 as the first obviously black person to get on to the professional side of Carrington & Sealy, and that led me, with his mentoring and guidance, to be able to attain the positions of Senior Justice and acting Chief Justice of The Bahamas and Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. We have lost a great and good man. The Honourable Neville L. Smith, Q.C. M.B.A.
My sincere condolences to the Lynch family. I’m so sorry to hear this. May he Rest in Eternal Peace and rise in glory.
Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Sir Douglas . I will always remember him since he was my first ‘boss’ when I entered the working world back in 1962. He provided me with the guidance and example that helped me greatly during my early years. To Mrs.Amanda, the children ,friends and family of Sir Douglas , I offer my sincerest condolences .Sir Douglas has left us to join the glorious band of those who have gone before. Farewell ,Sir Douglas …….farewell
