LYNDA GILL

25th May 1940 – 24th January 2025

GILL – LYNDA, of Mill House, Prior Park Close, St James. Daughter of the late Arthur and Hilda Hart. Adored Wife of Richard Charles Gill. Mother of Carolyn “Coco” Humphrey (Nick) and Andrew “Andy” Gill (Gina). Grandmother of Logan, Katelyn & Danielle Humphrey and Zachary Gill. Sister of the late Brian A. Hart (Janice). Aunt of Jamie Gallant (Jay) and Adam Hart (Katie), Deborah Thurley (Steve), Stephanie McNeill (Scott) & Lawrence Gill. Cousin and Friend of many, including Marianne Marshall nee Goddard, Beverley Marshall nee Goddard, the late Jasmine Davis nee Croney, the late Yvette Marshall, and many others.

A thanksgiving service and celebration of life for Lynda Gill will take place on Thursday, 27th February 2025 at St. James Parish Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00am. An inurnment will take place afterwards in the churchyard.  Mourning clothes are optional.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Ark Animal Welfare Society will be greatly appreciated

CHRISTOPHER BRATHWAITE “James”

BRATHWAITE – On 9th February 2025.CHRISTOPHER “James” age 70, of Hoyte’s Village, St. James. Son of the late Milton and Vanessa Brathwaite. Brother of Gwendoline “Phyllis” Brathwaite (USA). Brother-in-law of Jerry Barry. Cousin of the Brathwaite, Worrell and Phillips families and many others. Friend of the Harper, Wickham, Lee, Thomas, Trotman, Lammy, Cummins, Bostic families and many others. The funeral leaves Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael on Friday 21st February 2025 for a graveside service and interment at the Westbury Cemetery where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00pm. Flowers may be sent to Bryan’s Funeral Home not later than 11:00am on Friday. Viewing of the late Christopher Brathwaite takes place in the Michael Bryan Memorial Chapel, Bryan’s Funeral Home on Thursday 20th February 2025 from 4-6pm.

DESOUZA – On 25th January 2025. DEIRDRE CAROLE of Ocean Care Home, Oistins, Christ Church and formerly of “Newlyn” Marine Gardens, Hastings, Christ Church. Widow of the late Compton DeSouza. Mother of Shelly Moore (Stephen). Grandmother of James, Stuart, Liam and Emilie Moore. Sister of Gareth Villanueva (Jocelyn – deceased), Gordon Villanueva (Daphne – deceased) and Jennifer Hunt (David). Aunt of David and Gillian Villanueva, Mary, Michael, Stephen and Stuart Villanueva, Dr. Katherine Yearwood, Anne-Marie Layne, Juliet Sidaway, Michelle Durant and Christine Bourne. A memorial service for the life of Deirdre Carole Desouza takes place on Monday 17th February 2025 at St. Matthias Church, Hastings, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, a collection will be taken for St. Matthias Church building fund. Mother of Lilias Gardner. Grandmother of Skye and Oskar Gardner. Sister of Elizabeth Gardner and the late John Bruce Gardner. Stepsister of Humphrey Stollmeyer, Suzanne Skinner, Linda Dumbell and Annabell Cox. Aunt of Tristan Gardner, Jason Gardner, Sarah Uhre, Conrad Skinner, Marcus Skinner. Cousin and friend of many. A memorial service for the life of Kathleen Mary Gardner takes place on Friday, 7th February 2025 at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, Maxwell Main Road, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 pm. EARLA DAPHNE DICKENSON

DICKENSON – On 17th January 2025. EARLA DAPHNE of #5 Costain Drive, Pine Gardens, St Michael. Wife of the late Cannon George Dickenson. Mother of Rosalind Jager-Dickenson, Christine Geller, Matthew and Gregory Dickenson and the late Andrew Dickenson. Grandmother and great grandmother of too many to mention. The funeral leaves Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael on Thursday, 6th February 2025 for St. James Parish Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:30pm for a service of thanksgiving. A private interment will follow. Flowers may be sent to Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael not later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. No mourning colors by special request.

Dr. Karl Stewart Watson

WATSON – On 12th January 2025. Dr. KARL STEWART WATSON (GCM) of Garrison, St. Michael. Son of the late Leslie and Ina Watson. Brother of Lynda, Hazel, Patrick and the late Joan, Elizabeth and Mark. Uncle of many. A memorial service for the life of Dr. Karl Stewart Watson will take place on Saturday, 1st February 2025 at St. Michael’s Cathedral, Bridgetown where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. A private interment will take place at the Westbury Cemetery.
