Dear Uncle Donald,
A special rose has been added to God’s garden in the person of dear Aunt Eletha. Last Thursday, I witnessed via livestream a beautiful homegoing service for a beautiful lady.
I feel so fortunate and blessed to have shared so many memorable moments with you and Aunt Eletha over the years–in Canada, Barbados, Washington, DC, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. During happy and festive times–including enjoyable vacations, my late parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, my judicial investiture, and my chief judge ceremony–Aunt Eletha’s presence was a source of great joy. During sad times–like the passing of my late parents–Aunt Eletha was a source of great comfort. Through it all–whatever the occasion–Aunt Eletha’s kind, gracious and endearing personality and spirit always shined through, adding a special warmth and loving presence to our times together.
Thank you, Uncle Donald, for sharing your lifelong partner and beloved soulmate with my late parents and me. I am left with many fond and cherished memories of Aunt Eletha. May she rest in eternal peace.
My heartfelt sympathy is extended to you, Jutah, Eldon and the entire family.
Love and Blessings,
Wilma

Dear Uncle Donald,
Jean and I offer our sincere sympathy to You and the Family over the recent death of Aunt Letha, your beloved and devoted wife of 64 years. Although the loss of your lifelong partner is significant, we all know Aunt Letha willingly answered the call from our Lord and Savior without hesitation on December 26th.
While all of us left behind are in great pain, we are aware that pain and sorrow will diminish on the wings of time, however memories of Aunt Letha will always remain in our hearts. For me personally, in times like this, I have always taken comfort in the words of a poem that was written by an anonymous author. I have taken the liberty to share that poem with You in hopes that You and the Family will also find peace and comfort.
When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without Me, and I’m not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you;
And each time you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand.
He said my place was ready, in heaven far above.
And that I’d have to leave behind, all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I’d alway thought, I didn’t want to die.
I had so much to live for, so much yet to do.
It seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had.
But when I walked through Heaven’s gates, I felt so much at home,
When God looked down and smiled at me from His great golden throne.
He said, “This is eternity, and all I’ve promised you;
Today life on earth has passed, but here it starts anew.”
So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart,
For every time you think of me, I’m right here, in your heart.
Until we meet again Aunt Letha, Rest in Eternal Peace with our Lord and Savior.
