CARRINGTON – On 17th December, 2022. C.L. PAUL aged 95, of #15 Highgate Gardens, St. Michael. Former General Manager of Cable and Wireless (Barbados) Ltd. Husband of Joan (nèe Bryant). Father of Suzanne Hughes and Sean Carrington. Grandfather of Nicholas Hughes and Natasha Kay (James). Great grandfather of Oliver and James Hughes and Alfie Kay. The funeral leaves Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael, on Thursday, 29th December, 2022 for St. Matthias Church, Hastings, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00am for a service of thanksgiving. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church, for the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Barbados Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated. Suzanne and Sean, my condolences and so sorry for your troubles. He got to the party one day after Uncle Eric and I love the thought of all the C&W boys together again and telling stories about how it used to be so cold at Boarded Hall that they would wrap the ‘tape’ around their legs to keep warm. Or maybe that was just Daddy’s story. 🙂 Bless him and love to you all.
My late parents Joan and Sam Marshall were good friends of Paul and Joan Carrington.
Paul and Joan became our friends too, always welcoming us to Barbados. Was always nice to see them on our visits. Paul will be missed by many. Please accept my condolences and heartfelt sorrow with the passing of a dear and lovely man.
