My wife Jane and I met Ronnie a few times when holidaying in Barbados through our friendship with Jane Zervos. He was a lovely man with a twinkle that went from his eyes to his smile. We were at the Barbados Yacht Club with them both and paid a visit to his home, where we were treated like royalty.
Our last visit was 2012 so lost touch but not with the memories.
I know its 2 years late but if Jane is still contactable please pass on the condolences of Pat and Jane with our e mail. Perhaps post Covid we can make a final visit.
Wendy and I are still in shock and so saddened by the news of Ron’s passing. Totally unexpected. We did have a few very pleasant gatherings at the beloved Yacht Club this past winter. As he always did, Ronnie always asked about our well-being and always indicated that he was fine.
Rest In Peace Ronnie, we will miss you terribly.

We continue with our disbelief and dismay of that Ronnie will no longer be with us. As cousins from distant western Canada, we could always count on Ronnie’s good cheer and hospitality when we got the chance to visit Barbados.
Laurie & I were fortunate to spend a very pleasant few hours at the Yacht Club with Jayn and him just two months ago and true to form, he was more concerned about her well-being than his own.
Barbados and all our families will be poorer for his loss.
Deepest sympathies to all.
